Milestone Comics Site Redesign

Milestone Media is a Black-owned comics publisher that launched in 1993, home to characters like Static, Hardware, Icon, and Rocket. When the imprint announced its return, I designed the website. Growing up, Static Shock was one of the first times I saw a Black kid headlining his own superhero story, so the project carried personal weight.
Through the work, co-founder and artist Denys Cowan became a friend. The design stays dark and restrained, using black and Milestone red with bold condensed type that references comic lettering without mimicking it. Each section moves like a panel, and the art is always the loudest element on the page. The site is built for longtime fans and new ones equally.
